ETSUJI HORII SHIHAN - 7th DAN Aikikai Hombu Dojo, Japan) is a former uchi deshi at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo under Nidai Doshu Ueshiba Kisshomaru. As Aoikai Shihan, Horii Sensei now runs his own organization, the Aioikai, and teaches all over the world. With more than 40 years of experience, Horii Sensei is currently actively teaching and giving seminars around Japan, Europe, Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Russia. When he is not traveling around giving seminars at dojos around the world, Horii Sensei currently teaches at the Aioikai Aikido Kobe Sanda Dojo in Sanda, Hyogo, Japan. This year, Aioikai Aikido Kobe Sanda Dojo just celebrated its 30th anniversary. |

SPHINX PARLIN PHILIPS SENSEI - 5th DAN Aikikai Hombu Dojo, Japan) is the founder and chief instructor of Padepokan Aikido Indonesia (PAI) - Aioikai Indonesia. Sphinx Sensei has been practicing Aikido under Etsuji Horii Shihan since 2010. This year, PAI-Aioikai Indonesia just celebrated its 16th anniversary. As PAI - Aioikai Indonesia's Chief Instructor, Sphinx Sensei now currently actively teaching and leading our local dojo and private dojo trainings around Jakarta, Indonesia. With more than 20+ years of experience, he has taught aikido to children at various schoollevels and public dojos, up to adult classes for the Presidential Security Forces of the Republic of Indonesia (Paspamres RI) and high-ranking officers of the Indonesian Air Force (AAU). Last March, Sphinx Sensei and several students and instructors had the opportunity to attend the30th Anniversary of Aioikai Aikido Kobe SandaDojo in Japan. |
